This is a very striking example of a classic Barn Raising Log Cabin quilt. The fabrics are prints with the exception of the red centers that really "pop" against the calico. The quilt is in pristine, unwashed condition. The back is a pieced Bars pattern to which the quilt is totally reversible. It is red and pink, as is the front, but with different materials. The quilt is from Egypt, Pennsylvania (Lehigh County); made circa 1880. Measurements are 72" square.
