This sophisticated calico Bars quilt is made interesting by both the variety of printed fabrics as well as the variations in the size of the Bars. Using yellow only in the center adds additional interest. The paisley border makes it "dressier" than most country quilts.
The quilt is in excellent condition. It is from Eastern Pennsylvania ,dating to the 1880's. Measurements are 79" x 86". There is some irregularity to the color on the backing but it does not show through on the front.
