Gold and pearl choker necklace by Betty Cooke. Ninety six year old Betty Cooke is considered one of the icons of the Modernist studio jewelry movement. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art; Museum of Arts and Design and the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.
The necklace alternates groups of pearls with 14 karat gold tubing. The gold disc fits in a larger open circle as both a design element and the closure. The necklace measures 16 inches in length.
