Small rectangles (1 1/4 inches x 2 1/4 inches) make a dense pattern of this charming quilt. It has a wide variety of printed fabrics from the last quarter of the 19th century. Several have horseshoes and riding crops. The back is a plain cotton muslin. The triple border is divided into smaller strips adding an unusual touch. The quilt is in outstanding, unwashed condition. Measurements are 64" x 70. York County, Pennsylvania; circa 1880's.
