This strippy quilt is a wonderful take off on Chinese Coins. The strips are mostly rectangular but have a lot of variety adding squares, triangles and irregular shapes. The quilt is made of a fabulous variety of fabrics from the third quarter of the 19th century. The background fabric is a small paisley print and the reverse is a print with hops. It is in unwashed, pristine condition. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880. Measurements are 68" x 84".
