Concentric Squares Quilt with Four Patch: Circa 1880; Pennsylvania

At first glance, this may look like a Log Cabin quilt but in fact, it is concentric squares with Four Patch centers. The quilt is made entirely of wool challis with the same red and green prints used throughout. The centers are a greater selection of prints, many of which have light tones that give a bit of a twinkle to an otherwise fairly dark quilt. It is in excellent condition. Measurements are 82" x 92', quite large for the time period.
