Geometric quilt that comes closest in pattern to Corn and Beans or Fox and Geese. Placement of the blocks, as well as the use of fabrics, makes this soft toned quilt quite dazzling in patterning. There is actually not a secondary or background block. Both take on equal prominence. Shirting plaids and stripes are nicely complemented by the double blue and pink calico prints. Unwashed condition; one tiny brown spot visible in close-up photos. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1910.
