This Diamonds Log Cabin quilt is cleverly laid out. Dark calico diamonds frame the center block with two rows of light calico blocks around them. The centers are Hourglass patterns, almost all of which are pink and green calico. The center repeats the green and orange borders. The border is nicely cable quilted. Pinned to the back is a handwritten note that says "This spread I keep for Sister Annie, Sister Sarah.
These home spun doilies our grandfather Musselman spun the flax or yarn and another man wove the cloth in their home. Annie saved the fancy work.
Our mother pieced and quilted most of this spread.
Now I donate this quilt to Faith Audrey Hartman. You know Barton has Grandpa's quilt or spread.
