Groups of four eagles soar around a central floral block in this unique quilt. Placement of the eagles creates a scalloped white frame within the red spread wings. The orange body of each eagle has an applique that is probably meant as a heart. Each eagle has apliqued eyes and a tongue. Flowers on a vine frame the four blocks.
Made circa 1870. Professionally laundered and in excellent condition. Measurements are 79" square.
