This Feathered Stars quilt is exquisitely made in every way. It is tightly pieced with small triangles to the stars as well as the triple border. Placement of the stars creates wonderful positive/negative images with the off blocks. Floral medallions are quilted in the square off blocks. The diamond shaped blocks are quilted with a variety of floral; fylfot and heart patterns.
The quilt is in pristine condition. It has been professionally laundered since these photos were taken and the background is an evenly colored white. It is from Carroll County, Maryland; circa 1870's. Measurements are 87 inches square.
