Feathered Stars Antique Quilt with Swag Border

Finely made Feathered Stars antique quilt with an original interpretation of a swag border. The half circles, with alternating reverse applique cutouts are a feature I have not seen. The Stars are finely pieced and consistently done with a yellow floral print on red. The diamonds formed by the off blocks are quilted with stars and several different floral patterns. Hearts are quilted along the border.

Measurements are 86" x 88"
Excellent condition. Pennsylvania origin; made circa 1860.

With the exception of the border, this is a more traditional version of a the Feathered Star pattern in Feathered Stars Antique Quilt with Oakleaf Applique.
