Fox and Geese with Pinwheels Quilt: Circa 1880; Pennsylvania

This beautifully crafted quilt combines two traditional patterns that I have never seen abutting one another. The red and white blocks are Fox and Geese (aka Double X or Crosses and Losses). Placing them next to the Pinwheels of such different colors makes for two equally dominant patterns that play well off each other.
The quilt has been professionally laundered and is in pristine condition. It has beautiful quilting that includes a graceful feather throughout the border. Measurements are 90" x 104". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880.
