This lovely Irish Chain crib quilt is framed with the ultimate border. The stepped, curved applique creates a terrific positive/negative image. It is nicely quilted with an echo pattern in the white part of the border and a waffle pattern throughout the quilt. The squares of the Chain measure just 3/4" to a side.
The quilt has been professionally laundered. Very close examination reveals three tiny, tiny darned spots on the border but no other condition apologies. Measurements are 28 1/2" x 40". New York State origin; circa 1870. The blue color is much more gray than shows on my monitor.
