Several features make this LeMoyne Stars quilt a sophisticated country quilt. The stars are made of a wonderful variety of red prints. The blue calico forms a zig zag, or streak of lightning pattern. It is stitched with a pattern of connecting ovals that create a chain. The quilt is in excellent, unwashed condition. The backing is a gray print shown in last thumbnail.
Measurements are 80" x 86". Pennsylvania origin; made circa 1880 with some earlier red prints.
