This is a particularly fine example of the desirable New York Beauty pattern. The colors really seem to give off the glow of sunshine. It is well quilted with overlapping circles that are a terrific complement to the round pieced pattern. The New York Beauty pattern was named by Mountain Mist in 1930 when they published it with recommendations for this particular color combination and quilting patterns. Variations of the pattern had been known prior to 1930 but not with this name. It is in outstanding, professionally washed condition.
Measurements are 82" square. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1930.
