Postage Stamp quilt with a wide variety of late 19th century fabrics. The two borders most likely date to the late 1880's or 90's. Alternating the printed blocks with white ones gives the overall pattern a nice twinkle. It is in excellent, unwashed condition. The borders are quilted in a chevron pattern and the body of the quilt with diamonds. The back is plain muslin. Measurements are 70" x 79". Walkersville, Maryland (Frederick County) origin.
