This Princess Feather quilt is unusual in that the applique is done all in one color. Most often, several colors were used. In addition, the quilt is done solely with a teal blue/ green on white. It is in excellent, never washed condition. One can still feel the sizing in the fabric. The background is quilted with diamonds and a feather pattern used along the border. The feather resembles the arms of the Princess Feathers. The quilt is in excellent condition with one small, light spot about the size of a dime near an edge.
Measurements are 74 inches square. Pennsylvania origin; made circa 1890.
