This bold applique quilt is surely one of a kind. The feathering of each element is a wonderful detail that adds to the bold, unusual design. Repitition of the fabrics with the sawtooth border create a wonderful enclosure. Both fabrics have a white print which adds to the red, white and blue effect.
Some might mistake this for a Hawaiian quilt. The feathered edges are reminiscent of Hawaiian quilts but it is definitely not Hawaiian. Condition is excellent. Measurements are 64" x 72". Made circa 1890.
