This terrific positive/ negative quilt pattern goes by both the names of Robbing Peter to Pay Paul and Orange Peel.
It is made with two deep indigo fabrics both of which have orange printed patterns.The entire quilt is the same fabric with the exception of one end which was used to distinguish the side meant for the top of the bed. It is nicely quilted with four lobed flowers in the large white areas.
The quilt has been professionally laundered and is in excellent condition. Measurements are 88" x 90". New York State origin; made circa 1850's.
