This folky Sampler Quilt has a great combination of traditional and original blocks. Nothing could be more traditional than the center Schoolhouse done with nicely inked detail. Below it is a Bear's Paw signed "Fannie J. Gould March 24, 1892". While the top was certainly made in the 19th century, the backing is later. It seems to be from the 1950's.
The quilt is in excellent condition. Measurements are 76" x 78". New England origin.
