This is an extremely fine Star of Bethlehem (aka Texas Star or Lone Star) quilt made in the mid 19th century. It is comprised of a beautiful group of printed fabrics, all beautifully combined. Placement of the yellow prints gives additional "pop" to this already powerful pattern. It is in excellent, unwashed condition. Quilting is finely done with wreaths and feathers. Measurements are 104" square. Made in Pennsylvania, circa 1850's.
