To the best of my knowledge, this quilt in which the Tumbling Blocks pattern is set in Bars, is a unique pattern. The maker of this quilt certainly had a distinctive eye in that her choice of fabrics is also out of the ordinary.The Tumbling Blocks effect works equally well when the quilt is viewed both vertically and horizontally. It is in excellent condition and truly one of a kind.
Measurements are 77" x 84". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1890.
