This Tumbling Blocks quilt is made with pieces far smaller than one usually sees with this pattern. Each block is just 1 1/4 inches to a side. It is made with a tremendous variety of printed fabrics . The distribution of light and dark fabrics gives the quilt a nice twinkle. The quilt is in excellent condition. The quilt was made in the 1880's. It measures 80" x 92", larger than one usually finds in quilts of this period. The backing is is divided into Bars, indicative of the quilt's Pennsylvania origin.
