This unusual example of a Wild Goose Chase Crib Quilt is made so by the use of blue for the triangles and diamond shapes for the white blocks. Together, they create an intense pattern that is different from the usual Birds in the Air in which the same shape triangles are used throughout.
The quilt measures 31" x 47 1/2". It is very effective hung either vertically or horizontally. It is nicely quilted with white thread. There is a light brown spot no larger than a pea but no other condition apologies. The blue is a soft shade of medium blue. Pennsylvania origin; made circa 1920.
