At first glance, this looks like a Bars quilt pattern but a closer look reveals the yellow triangles on either side of the wide Bars, making it a Tree Everlasting. The close tones throughout the quilt make for a subtle, unusual palette. It is quilted throughout with diamonds that are about 3/4 inch to a side. The quilt is in excellent, probably unwashed condition. Measurements are 80" x 87". Manheim, Pennsylvania origin (Lancaster County); circa 1870's.
